The Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association (MBCEA) is a trade association, formed in 1968 to provide programs and services, as well as to support the interests of metal building contractors and erectors. The Mid-Atlantic Division (M.A.D.) was formed in February 2006 to better serve the needs of contractors and erectors doing business in the Mid-Atlantic area. Membership in the MBCEA-MAD grants you the opportunity to become part of a strong network of companies who know what it takes to succeed in the Mid-Atlantic region.

President's Welcome Letter
Welcome to the Mid Atlantic Division (MAD) of the Metal Building Contractors and Erectors Association. I am honored to have been selected as President and further the mission of MAD started back in February of 2006. At that time an initial Board of 6 members, supported by a donation of $500.00 from the New England Chapter, set out to increase the safety, quality and professionalism of metal building contractors and erectors in our area.
Towards this end MAD has provided a vast selection of subsidized training for our members including:

In addition to training, the Mid Atlantic Division has furthered opportunities for pre-engineered contractors and erectors by promoting metal buildings to the design community. MAD Board members supported by the Metal Building Institute have created and presented before hundreds of design professionals, two AIA CES courses entitled “Sustainability and Design of Pre-engineered Buildings” and “Energy Codes & Insulating Pre-engineered Buildings. Finally, one of our greatest accomplishments is developing and implementing the only Federally recognized apprenticeship program for Pre-Engineered Building Assembler.
In addition to educational opportunities we also have social networking opportunities allowing you to meet and talk with others in your industry. Our annual MAD Golf Tournament and December Holiday Social are always a big hit but more importantly, they provide the funds by which we bring our educational opportunities to you at a fraction of the cost you would normally incur. I would be remiss in not mentioning that the success of the MAD events and consequently our training is due in major part to the generosity of our vendor and supplier members who sponsor and donate so freely. Support them as they support us by buying goods and services from those that do so much.
I would encourage you to come out and take advantage of what this organization has to offer. Get involved, reap the rewards, and make it your association.
